About the film

When news of another school shooting breaks, it feels almost surreal.  The horrifying reality however, is that we can no longer call school shootings 'unimaginable' because they are happening with alarming frequency.  This is unacceptable, senseless and tragic — terms that fall short of capturing the heartbreak so many are left with after these horrific acts of violence take place.

As a father, and a decent human being, I have a huge problem with this. As a filmmaker, I felt a certain responsibility to use this platform to raise awareness about this epidemic.

Thus, inspired by students across the country that stood up to the status-quo and demanded better for themselves and their peers, I wrote a short film/PSA that will hopefully lend itself to the conversation, and be a catalyst for change.

This film is not about making political statements or adhering to agendas – it’s not propaganda - it’s a plea to save lives, inspire, and take a deeper look at the human condition as it currently stands.

And I know t I’m honestly not sure there is one solution to this problem, but I do know we can no longer do nothing.  We owe it to the children, who no longer wonder if something bad can happen, but now wonder when and where the next shooting will be.
